Ingredients:
Two sticks or one cup of soft, unsalted butter
1/2 cup powdered sugar
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup finely chopped walnuts
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
A pinch of salt
Additional powdered sugar for rolling
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the soft unsalted butter and 1/2 cup of powdered sugar until smooth and fluffy.
Gradually add the all-purpose flour to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined. The dough may appear crumbly.
Fold in the finely chopped walnuts to add crunch and flavor.
Add the vanilla essence and a little amount of salt, and stir until well combined.
Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the bottoms are lightly golden. The tops will remain pale.
Let the cookies cool slightly, then roll them gently in additional powdered sugar while still warm to achieve a snowy appearance.
Place the cookies on a wire rack and let cool fully.
. Optionally, roll them in powdered sugar one more time for an extra snowy touch.
