Ingredients:
1 medium package of softened cream cheese (Philly)
2 tubes of crescent rolls
1/2 cup regular white sugar
1/4 cup light brown sugar
2 tablespoons melted butter
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
For the Glaze:
2/3 cup powdered sugar
4 teaspoons milk
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a medium bowl, use a blender to mix together the softened cream cheese, lemon juice, pure vanilla extract, and white sugar until well combined.
Open the tubes of crescent rolls and slice them into thick slices using a sharp knife.
Place the slices on a parchment-lined baking sheet, forming a little wall around the outside of each slice using your fingers or a small measuring cup.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter and 1/4 cup of light brown sugar. Brush this mixture over each Danish slice, ensuring even distribution of the filling.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes or until the danishes turn golden brown.
Remove the danishes from the oven and let them cool.
In a small bowl, combine the powdered sugar, milk, and pure vanilla extract to make the glaze. Stir until smooth.
Drizzle the glaze over each warm Danish.
