2 tsp brown sugar
1 lb tenderloin or 96% lean ground beef
1 ½ slices of whole wheat bread, without crust (shredded)
1 cup Vidalia onion, chopped
3 egg whites (large eggs)
Pinch of salt
½ tsp pepper
3 tbsp ketchup
1 tbsp yellow mustard
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees
Prepare a loaf pan by coating it with nonstick cooking spray.
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, shredded bread, chopped onion, egg whites, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
In a small bowl, whisk together the ketchup, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce to make the sauce.
Pour the sauce mixture over the ground beef mixture and work it into the meat using your hands.
Shape the mixture into a loaf shape and transfer it to the prepared loaf pan.
Place the loaf pan in the preheated oven and bake at 350 degrees for 55 minutes or until the meatloaf is fully cooked.
Once cooked, remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes.
Cut the meatloaf into 5 equal pieces, plate, and serve.
