Creamed Chipped Beef on Toast

Ingredients:

One jar of well washed and diced dry beef slices
4 tablespoons butter
4 tablespoons flour
Pinch of cayenne pepper
2 cups milk
Add sea salt and freshly cracked pepper to taste.
Bread, toasted

Instructions:

Rinse the dried beef slices thoroughly to remove excess salt .Then use a paper towel to pat them dry.
Chop the dried beef into small bite-sized pieces and set them aside.
Melt the butter in a large saucepan over a medium heat.
Melt the butter and mix in the flour and a pinch of cayenne pepper. Whisk until well combined and cook for about 45 seconds.
Slowly pour in the milk while whisking continuously.
Once all the milk has been added, add the chopped dried beef to the saucepan.
Cook the mixture, stirring occasionally, for a few minutes until it thickens.
Taste the creamed chipped beef and season with sea salt and freshly cracked pepper to your liking.
