Old-Fashioned Goulash

Ingredients:

1/2 pound macaroni
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1 large diced onion
Garlic salt, pepper, chili powder, and hot sauce to taste
2 cans (14.5 oz each) whole stewed tomatoes, undrained
2 tablespoons ketchup
Tomato juice, as needed

Instructions:

Macaroni should be cooked as directed on the package until it is al. Meanwhile, in an extra-large skillet or Dutch oven, brown the ground beef and diced onion together.
Drain the beef and onion mixture, and season it with garlic salt, pepper, chili powder, and hot sauce to taste.
In a large bowl, mash the stewed tomatoes with a potato masher. Add the mashed tomatoes and ketchup to the beef mixture, stirring well.
Drain the cooked macaroni and add it to the beef mixture, stirring until well combined. If necessary, taste and adjust the seasoning.
If desired, add tomato juice to achieve the desired level of juiciness. As desired, increase the quantity from a tiny starting point.
Serve the old-fashioned goulash hot and enjoy! Leftovers can be reheated and tomato juice can be added to maintain the desired consistency over time.
