Fluffy Fried Balls Recipe

Ingredients:

120 ml warm milk
10g brewer’s yeast
40g sugar
40g melted butter (or oil as a substitute)
Pinch of salt
8g vanilla flavoring
1 egg, at room temperature
280g all-purpose flour

Directions:

Dissolve the brewer’s yeast in warm milk and let it sit for a few minutes until it becomes frothy.
In a mixing bowl, pour the yeast and milk mixture. Add the sugar, melted butter (or oil), salt, vanilla flavoring, and the egg. Mix well to combine.
Gradually add the flour to the mixture, stirring continuously until a smooth and homogeneous dough forms. A wooden spoon or an electric mixer fitted with a dough hook attachment can be used.
After the dough comes together, throw plastic wrap or a fresh kitchen towel over the bowl and let it rise in a warm location until it has doubled in size. This often requires one to two hours, according on the temperature.
Once the dough has risen, punch it down gently to remove any remaining air bubbles. . Shape the dough into small balls, approximately 2-3 centimeters in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet or tray lined with parchment paper. Leave some space between the balls to allow them to expand.
Cover the balls with a kitchen towel and let them rest for about 30 minutes to rise slightly.
Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan or pot to a temperature of around 180°C (350°F).
To prevent crowding, carefully drop the dough balls into the heated oil and cook them in batches. Fry them till golden brown, turning them from time to time to make sure they cook through. Usually, this procedure takes three to four minutes.
Once the balls are cooked and have a crispy exterior, remove them from the oil using a slotted spoon and transfer them to a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil.
Serve the fluffy fried balls while still warm. They can be enjoyed plain or dusted with powdered sugar, cinnamon sugar, or other sweet toppings. You can also serve them with a dipping sauce of your choice, such as chocolate or caramel.
Enjoy your fluffy fried balls as a tasty snack or dessert!
